Djibril Cisse joined the Greek Pro club Panathinaikos in 2009.  His position is as a striker and because strikers play nearest the opposing goal they are principally responsible for scoring goals.
Prior to joining the Panathinaikos, Cisse played for the French teams, Auxerre, and Marseille, and the UK team Liverpool.  He began his professional carrer in 1998.
