Birth date/place:  June 7, 1975 in Hampton VA

Currently a point guard/shooting guard for the Detroit Pistons, Iverson began his basketball career with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1996.  He then played for the Denver Nuggets from 2006 to 2008.  His many awards include:  NCAA Big East Rookie Of The Year in 1995, NBA MVP in 2001, and a ten time NBA All-Star.  Iverson played on the 2004 Olympic Men’s Basketball team where the team won the Bronze Medal.
