Birth date/place:  January 26, 1977 in Daytona Beach, FL
Claim to Fame:  NBA Rookie of the Year in 1999


Carter was drafted by the Golden State Warriors.  He never played for the Warriors because he was traded to the Toronto Raptors before the 1998 season began.  Carter played for the Raptors from 1998-2004.  He currently plays for the New Jersey Nets.  Carter played as an NBA All-Star 8 times.
