Carl Lewis Bio: Lewis won his first Olympic Gold Medal in Los Angeles in 1984 in the 100 m. He took the Gold three more times that year for the 200 m, 4×100 m relay and the long jump. Lewis won two Gold Medals and one Silver in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, two Gold in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and a Gold in 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He has won 8 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal and a Bronze Medal between 1983 and 1993 in the World Championships. His last Olympic competition was in Atlanta in 1996 where he won the Gold Medal in the long jump. Lewis was voted “Sportsman of the Century” by the International Olympic Committee and “Olympian of the Century’ by Sports Illustrated.
Among his many film and television appearances Lewis played himself in cameos in Perfect Strangers, Speed Zone and Material Girls. He will play “Earl” in the film 62 Pickup which is presently in pre-production.
