Cheadle began his film career in 1984 as “Angel” in a film titled 3 Days.  Since that time he has had roles in numerous films among them:  Rosewood, The Rat Pack, Ocean’s Eleven/Twelve/Thirteen, and Hotel Rwanda. In 1995 and 1996 he won both the LAFCA and NSFC awards for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of “Mouse Alexander” In Devil in a Blue
Dress. Cheadle’s television experience include episodes of Hill Street Blues, Night Court, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Picket Fences and ER.
In 2007 Cheadle and Annie Duke (professional poker player) organized a charity tournament called “Ante Up for Africa.  The tournament had a $5,000 buy-in and those who finished in the money were encouraged to donate part of their winnings to The International Rescue Committee or The Enough Project.  Cheadle was given the BET Humanitarian award in 2007 for his many humanitarian service for the people of Darfur and Rwanda.
