Claim to Fame:  As Detective Baldwin Jones on NYPD Blue

Simmons appeared on NYPD Blue as “Detective Baldwin Jones” from 2000 to 2005.  In 2006 Simmons joined the cast of the television series Shark in the role of “Isaac Wright”.  He continued in the role until the series finale in 2008.  Simmons will play the part of “Jean Toomer” in a 2009 television biography of artist Georgia O’Keeffe and her husband Alfred Steiglitz.
