In 2002 Mario released his debut album Mario.  He was 15 at the time.  He may be best known for his hit singles Just a Friend 2002 and Let me Love You from his 2004 album Turning Point.  He has since released two more albums, Go in 2007 and And Then There Was Me in 2009.
In addition to his music career Mario has had small roles in Freedom Writers, starring Hilary Swank and in the 2007 film Step Up.  He appeared on the sixth season of Dancing with the Stars making it to the eighth episode before being eliminated.
