Bryant is an American All-Star shooting guard who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Bryant didn’t get drafted from college, he began playing for the Lakers right out of high school. He and his then-teammate Shaquille O’Neal led the Lakers to three consecutive NBA championships from 2000 to 2002. After O’Neal’s departure following the 2003–04 season, Bryant became the foundation of the Lakers franchise. He was the lead NBA scorer the 2005–06 and 2006–07 seasons. In 2006, Bryant scored a career high 81 points against the Toronto Raptors, the second highest number of points scored in a single game in NBA history, second only to Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point performance. Taye Diggs Bio: Diggs first name is a shortened version of his childhood nickname “Scott-taye.”
Digg started his career on stage and than moved to television, with a role on the soap opera Guiding Light. He made his film debut in How Stella Got Her Groove Back (1998). This movie brought Diggs much acclaim and exposure. He than played a sex god in Doug Liman’s Go (1999), an AWOL groom in the drama The Wood (1999), and The Best Man (1999) features Diggs as the best friend of the groom. In 2003, Diggs was on Punk’d when tricked by Ashton Kutcher, while getting a check-up at a Punk’d-operated doctor’s office.
Diggs played the title character on the short-lived UPN television series Kevin Hill. He alse played the role of Benny for the film Rent (2005).
Although his film and television career continues to move forward, he still returns to the stage frequently. Most recently he was seen in A Soldier’s Play at Second Stage Theatre in New York. Diggs also continues to co-stars opposite Kate Walsh in the television series Private Practice.
